Day 34: Why Prayers Aren’t Answered

When prayers seem to not be answered, we often fall into the trap of a religious answer that makes logical sense, but fails to honor the fullness of what Christ has done for us. The explanations of why prayers are not answered becomes dogma that uproots the promise. Phrases like “God answers prayers three ways: yes, no and wait.” or “it’s not His will” all become trite responses that reduce our faith and confidence in what John 15:7 and James 4:2-3 confirm is ours through prayer. David boldly proclaims that the promise will never fail. It is this revelation that produces in us prayers that are the very words of Christ over our situation. The promise will produce.
