David arrives at Hebrews 2:18 which reveals how Jesus was tempted like we are without sin. This is significant because he felt “everything” that you felt. Because He was “tested and tried”, he can “immediately…run” to “assist and relieve” you. The Amplified Classic version brings this truth to the forefront with beautiful significance, “For because He Himself [in His humanity] has suffered in being tempted (tested and tried), He is able [immediately] to run to the cry of (assist, relieve) those who are being tempted and tested and tried [and who therefore are being exposed to suffering].”
