By taking your situation, lament, issue, decree, or request to the promise, your prayers become the words of the promise. There is no lust or selfish motive in the promise. It is Christ. The Word is Christ and the promise will never fail you. The promises are precious and exceedingly great. The promise might produce in you a different desire than what you thought you wanted, or it may produce more than you ever dreamed imaginable. There is always more God wants to do. Yet, we limit what the promise can produce when we allow religious dogma or poor explanations of prayers not being answered to explain or deter us from trusting in the promise.
